International Women in Engineering Day is an international awareness campaign to raise the profile of women in engineering and focus attention on the amazing career opportunities available to girls in this exciting industry. It celebrates the outstanding achievements of women engineers throughout the world.
This year, 6 of our leading women at club Murray in Leeds, hosted a webinar for our Yorkshire customers to discuss their journeys into tech as part of the celebration which takes place on the 23rd of June each year.
Hosted by People Lead Camilla Arnett, ANDis Charikleia Savva, Julie Goodison-Kinder, Kirstie Young, Shavana Peynado and Zoya Naz Raja provided insights into their roles & daily routines, what made them choose a career in tech and who has inspired them to become their best-selves.
The team also touched on the challenges of computer science and tech in schools and what initiatives the educations sector could deploy to help young girls get a better understanding of tech and the many opportunities it has to offer.
Watch our video and enjoy listening to an inspiring conversation about the many different angles of a tech career and see what advice resonates with you.
