This event has already taken place. Have a look at our upcoming events to see what’s coming up.
Grab a coffee and join AND Digital for Elevenses!
In this first part of a five-part series, we will be looking at Kotlin.
Advertised as a replacement for Java, is it truly what it is hyped up to be? Or is it another language that is being raved about currently that will die in a few years time? Is it just for mobile development or can it be used in other ways?
This session will cover:
- A brief history of Kotlin
- Kotlin’s use cases
- Features of the language
- A live demo
- Is it worth looking into?
Ruta is an Associate at AND Digital and is known to spend her evenings knitting. She has previously worked in Kotlin at one of the top-grossing streaming apps in the UK. Since joining AND, she has been involved in a number of initiatives including being a mental health champion and organising and running a CodeFirst: Girls course.
About AND Elevenses
In our collective new normal of working from home, we’ve noticed ourselves just how easy it is to lose track of time and find yourself working without sufficient breaks. Without these, we all know how fast productivity, focus and wellbeing can dwindle.
So, to help break up your day, we’ve launched AND Elevenses: snappy, 45-minute live webinar sessions where you can learn new skills, network with others and take some time out from your working day.
If you've missed an event, don't worry. You can watch recordings here from each Elevenses session we run.
