AND We Lead

AND We Lead is an 11 week programme designed to help clients build understanding, insight, and self awareness into leadership traits, methods and tools to drive team cohesion and success. The programme provides a unique action plan, tailored to the needs of the business and the individual, as well as ongoing support in the form of coaching and leadership action learning groups to drive long-lasting change.

The Challenge

Strengthening team collaboration while driving business performance at IAG Loyalty

IAG Loyalty is responsible for the Avios loyalty currency, used by 40+ million people around the world.

While the product continues to grow in scale and complexity, IAG Loyalty’s Head of Product knew that her team were pivotal in the company’s success, and their insights, collaborative abilities and resilience needed harnessing for the success of the company as a whole.

Following multiple re-organisations, new delivery initiatives and demanding deadlines, the team’s 8 Product Leaders needed to develop and deliver simultaneously in their roles. IAG Loyalty recognised that these leaders were central to the organisation’s success, and wanted to find ways for them to support one another over the long-term. It was important to the business that they found a way to collaborate not just as individuals, but as a specific team in their specific context.

With business performance as the goal, they asked AND We Lead to help them get there.

THE SOLUTION

An 11-week programme tailored to IAG Loyalty’s Product Leaders

Bringing together a team of Agile Delivery Experts, Performance Coaches, Psychotherapists and Delivery Consultants, we ran an 11-week programme for IAG Loyalty’s Product Leadership consisting of:

  • Individual assessments of each leader's personality, preferences and digital capability.
  • Individual reports and 1:1 coaching to work on their personal goals.
  • A group dynamics assessment and report, providing insight into their collective ways of working and the impact that has upon the wider organisation.
  • Four self-prioritised development modules focusing on shared capability gaps and focus areas for the year ahead.

The Results

Transformative impact on leadership confidence and team cohesion

IAG Loyalty participants reported 100% confidence in their ability to envision and articulate their priorities for progressing in their leadership role, and 90% stated they had the confidence in understanding the impression they give off to their teams and others.

With notable improvements in team cohesion and psychological safety, the group now have designed and implemented new processes for delivery initiatives and knowledge sharing.

With 8 personalised leadership reports delivered, and 4 digital leader workshops hosted on capability areas that the Product Leaders had prioritised, significant improvements in individual goal setting, confidence and resilience were also reported. 

A 9.5/10 confidence in recommending the programme to a friend shows the lasting impact AND We Lead has had, and we look forward to helping other clients build and drive habitual change.
