Equal Tech - UX Fundamentals:
Learn about user experience fundamentals in our free online course led by our own UX experts in AND Digital - for women and minority groups interested in the tech industry
Equal Tech is launching its own free, online 'UX Fundamentals’' course. The course is for those who are interested in the technology industry but want to explore options that aren’t coding focused or want to understand how user experience (UX) is important in programming.
In this six week course, designed and delivered by our experienced people at AND Digital, you’ll be learning about the basics of UX and what it actually means to design and build a product with the user at the heart of it using an online shopping site as the focus. The course will build-up to you creating your own prototype and learning how to test whether this is viable with users.
*To gain access to all 6 weeks of content you must initially sign up for this* event*
Who?
This course is only open to individuals above the age of 18. A basic understanding of HTML would aid you in this course - if you don’t have any experience, this course on Codecademy is all you would need: https://www.codecademy.com/learn/learn-html
What will you learn?
The course will run online, free of charge, at 18:00 on Wednesdays for six weeks starting on 20th April. The sessions are two hours long. We will issue you a certificate of completion if you attend 80% of the sessions, and successfully submit your course assignment at the end. After completing this course you will have the option to take on some of our other modules that are more tech-focused if you wish (dates to be announced). You’ll continue to be part of an alumni group post the course where you will be able to stay in contact with other course members and the instructors who can offer advice and support for getting into the tech industry.
